The plastic medicine bottle is a practical and lightweight container suitable for precise dosing and the safe storage of various liquid and powder preparations. Thanks to its reliable thread and compatibility with several types of closures, it is ideal for manufacturers of cosmetics, pharmaceutical preparations, as well as homemade formulations. You will appreciate it when filling smaller batches, test samples, and finished products intended for sale or distribution.
The packaging material provides good protection of the contents during normal use and handling, while the bottle remains pleasantly light and impact-resistant. Thanks to its compact shape, the medicine bottle is easy to store, transport, and integrate into both professional and hobby filling/packing lines.
The standalone plastic bottle is compatible with various types of closures and dosing systems according to the selected parameters in the Handymade.sk offer. You can combine it with screw caps, dropper inserts, pipettes, spray pumps, or practical applicators, allowing you to tailor the dosing precisely to the character of your formulation.
Combinations of containers and closures created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend performing your own compatibility test – focusing on sealing, dosing smoothness, and the behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation (viscosity, alcohol content, oil or water base, etc.).
All technical parameters of the packaging are listed in the enclosed Packaging Quality Certificate and in the product specifications.
The medicine bottle can be used repeatedly if handled correctly and if hygiene principles are observed, especially in your own home production. Before each new filling, the container must be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected – we recommend using suitable disinfectant products, for example isopropyl alcohol IPA 99% or plant-based ethanol Ethanol 96%. After disinfection, allow both the bottle and the closure to dry completely so that your formulation is not compromised.
If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend, after rinsing out any product residues, sorting it into the appropriate recycling stream according to the material type listed in the product specifications (for example, a plastic container into the bin designated for plastics). Before disposal, it is advisable to separate the bottle from the closure or dosing component to make recycling of the individual materials easier. Always follow local waste sorting rules and the recommendations provided with the product on Handymade.sk.
When choosing suitable packaging, you can use the advanced filter, which you will find at the top of the page after clicking on a specific packaging category. In the filter, it is possible to combine several parameters at once – for example, neck type, container size, colour, and material used. In this way, you can quickly select medicine bottles, bottles, or jars that will match your formulation, design, and desired dosing method.
Even though the combinations of containers and closures created directly on Handymade are designed to be tested and functional, we always recommend performing a brief in-house test when you are manufacturing your own products. Check whether the closure can be fitted without excessive force, whether the bottle does not leak after closing even when turned upside down, and whether the dosing corresponds to the viscosity of your product. It is advisable to repeat the test after several days of storage to verify the behaviour of the packaging in contact with the final formulation.
We recommend storing filled bottles in a dry and clean environment, protected from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. A stable room temperature, in line with the requirements of your formulation, is ideal. Do not place the medicine bottles near strong sources of heat and do not expose them to significant temperature fluctuations, in order to minimize the risk of changes in the properties of both the product and the packaging itself.
