For disinfection it is possible to use products such as IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. This will reduce the risk of microbial contamination and help maintain the quality of the new refill throughout the entire period of use.

The bottle with dispensing pump is ideal especially for liquid, gel and light cream products where controlled dosing and comfortable application are required. Before introducing it into full-scale production, we always recommend performing your own compatibility test, in which you verify the behaviour of the packaging with the specific formulation (viscosity, pH, type of solvents, content of oils or active substances), as well as long-term stability, sealing, and the smoothness of dosing. In this way you will verify that the packaging is suitable for your product in all respects.

Before repeated use, we recommend first mechanically cleaning the packaging – removing residues of the original product and thoroughly rinsing the bottle with a suitable cleaning solution. It is then necessary to disinfect the inner surface and the dispensing system with an alcohol solution, for example using isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96 %. After applying the disinfectant, allow the packaging to drain and dry completely at room temperature. By following these steps, you support hygiene, prevent undesirable reactions with the new refill and reduce the risk of microbial contamination.

If you decide not to use the bottle with dispenser any further, we recommend, after emptying and basic cleaning, placing it in sorted waste according to the type of material specified in the parameter table for the product on Handymade. Before handing it over to sorted collection, it is advisable to remove product residues, separate any multi-material parts (for example the pump from the bottle body, if possible) and follow local waste sorting rules. Proper sorting of packaging helps reduce the amount of waste and enables its subsequent recycling in accordance with the system for recovery of plastic materials.
