FAQ – Frequently asked questions

How can I properly clean this bottle before first use or refilling?

The packaging can be reused provided that basic hygiene rules are observed. Before each filling we recommend thoroughly washing the bottle and the cap, rinsing them and then disinfecting them with a suitable alcohol solution. For this purpose it is possible to use the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured vegetal. After disinfection, allow the packaging to dry naturally in order to prevent dilution or impact on your formulation from residues of the cleaning agent.

Is this bottle suitable for transport in a handbag or travel bag without the risk of contents leaking out?

The flip-top cap is designed so that when properly closed it provides good sealing and minimizes the risk of unintended leakage of the contents. It is recommended to always check that the lid is completely snapped shut, and for very liquid or low-viscosity preparations to carry out a trial leak test before regularly carrying it in a handbag or travel suitcase. For air transport it is advisable to pack the bottle in a separate protective bag.

Can I wash this plastic packaging in a dishwasher or boil it at high temperatures?

We do not recommend exposing the plastic bottle with a flip-top cap to high temperatures, since extreme heat may cause deformation of the material and deterioration of the sealing properties of the cap. The packaging is not suitable for washing in a dishwasher or for boiling. For cleaning, use lukewarm water, a mild detergent and then disinfection with a suitable alcohol solution, in order to maintain the shape stability and functionality of the cap.

How should I correctly dispose of the packaging if I do not want to continue using it?

If you decide not to reuse the bottle, we recommend, after emptying and basic rinsing, placing it in sorted waste according to the type of plastic material specified in the product parameters. The recycling symbol on the packaging or in the technical description will indicate into which sorted waste container it belongs. By sorting correctly you enable further processing of the material and reduce the amount of unnecessary waste. Before handing over for recycling it is advisable to remove any residue of contents and any label from the bottle, if required by local recycling rules.
