Product description

Macadamia oil, refined is a stable vegetable emollient obtained from the seeds (nuts) of the Macadamia integrifolia (macadamia) tree. It is most often first obtained by pressing the oil from the seeds and then refined (purification, neutralization, bleaching and deodorization) to make the result more colour and aroma neutral, stable and suitable for a wide range of cosmetic formulations. In practice, it is mainly used to soften, smooth and promote skin comfort without a heavy greasy film.

Active substances and natural ingredients

Palmitoleic acid (omega-7): typical of macadamia; contributes to a "sebum-like" sensory (feeling similar to natural sebum) and to a soft, smooth finish.
Monounsaturated fatty acids: promote pleasant spreadability and comfort on the skin; the oil is perceived as 'soft' and non-slippery.
Trace elements (depending on the degree of refining): naturally occurring tocopherols and phytosterols may be present in oils, but may be reduced in refined oils.
