Is it possible to use this glass bottle repeatedly?

Yes, the glass bottle can be used repeatedly if hygiene principles are observed. Before each new filling, the packaging must be thoroughly cleaned and then disinfected, for example using isopropyl alcohol or ethanol suitable for cleaning packaging. For this purpose you can also use products available on Handymade, for example IPA 99 – isopropyl alkohol (/ipa-99-isopropyl-alkohol-1-l/){:target="_blank"} or etanol 96 % denaturovaný rastlinný (/etanol-96-denaturovany-rastlinny-1-l/){:target="_blank"}. Only after the inside of the container is completely dry is the bottle ready for the next filling.

How should the bottle be properly cleaned before first use and between individual fillings?

Before first use we recommend rinsing the bottle with a suitable cleaning agent, rinsing thoroughly with drinking water and then disinfecting it with an alcohol solution. Products such as IPA 99 – isopropyl alkohol (/ipa-99-isopropyl-alkohol-1-l/){:target="_blank"} or etanol 96 % denaturovaný rastlinný (/etanol-96-denaturovany-rastlinny-1-l/){:target="_blank"} are suitable for this purpose. After disinfection, allow the packaging to dry naturally with the neck downwards on a clean, uncontaminated surface. The same procedure is advisable to follow when reusing the bottle, especially if you change the type of product (e.g. from an oil-based to a water-based product or vice versa).

How can I safely dispose of and recycle this glass bottle if I do not want to use it any longer?

If you decide not to use the bottle any further, we recommend first emptying it as thoroughly as possible and removing any product residues. The glass part of the packaging can, after basic cleaning, be handed over to separated glass collection according to local rules. The aluminum cap should preferably be sorted separately with other metal packaging, if the collection system in your municipality allows this.
