The glass bottle is generally suitable for packing most aqueous solutions, hydrolats and preparations containing alcohol, provided these products are normally intended for use in a sprayer. Nevertheless, we recommend always testing the specific formula in a smaller amount to verify the smoothness of spraying, the fineness of the mist and the long-term stability of the contents in combination with the given sprayer type.

The packaging can be reused, if hygiene principles are followed, for the same or even for a different product type. Before each new filling it is essential to thoroughly clean and disinfect the bottle and the sprayer, in order to minimise the risk of microbial contamination or unwanted reactions between residues of the original product and the new formulation. For disinfection we recommend using isopropyl alcohol or ethanol, for example the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alkohol or Etanol 96 % denaturovany rastlinný. After disinfection, allow all parts to dry completely and only then refill the bottle.

A bottle with a sprayer is ideal for products that should be applied in a thin, even layer or in the form of a fine mist. When creating formulas, it is advisable to adjust the viscosity so that the mixture remains sufficiently fluid and can easily pass through the spraying mechanism. Suitable examples include facial and body sprays, floral waters, hair tonics or room fresheners. With a higher proportion of the oil phase, we recommend performing a spraying test and, if necessary, adjusting the ratio of ingredients.

Before cleaning, it is advisable to disassemble the bottle and the sprayer into separate parts, which you then wash in lukewarm water with a suitable detergent. For the plastic components of the sprayer, avoid very hot water, aggressive cleaning agents and mechanical damage to the fine channels. After thorough rinsing, you can disinfect all parts using alcohol (for example IPA 99 % isopropyl alkohol or Etanol 96 % denaturovany rastlinný), let them dry completely and only then reassemble and fill.

If you decide not to reuse the bottle, we recommend first emptying it and, if possible, rinsing out any product residues. The glass part of the packaging is usually placed in sorted glass collection, while the plastic components of the sprayer belong in the container intended for plastic waste collection. The specific sorting method may differ according to local waste management regulations, so it is advisable to follow the recommendations of your local authority as well. By adhering to correct sorting you contribute to efficient material recycling and to reducing the amount of waste.
