Before the first filling, it is advisable to thoroughly clean the bottle and the dropper and remove any dust residues from production or storage. Mechanical rinsing, followed by drying and disinfection with a suitable agent, is recommended. For this purpose, you can use, for example, isopropyl alcohol or ethanol, which you will find in the packaging disinfection category: IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol and Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. After applying the disinfectant, allow the packaging to air out thoroughly and dry so that any residues of the volatile component are removed before the product is filled.

The glass bottle and the dropper can be reused provided you follow basic hygiene principles and consider the compatibility of the material with the specific formulation. Before each refilling, it is necessary to thoroughly wash the entire packaging, remove residues of the previous product and then disinfect it with a suitable agent, for example with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol. After disinfection, allow all parts to dry completely. When changing the type of product (for example from an aromatherapeutic oil to a facial serum), we recommend even more thorough preparation of the packaging to avoid unwanted effects on the fragrance, colour or stability of the new product.

If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend recycling it according to the recommendations arising from the material composition stated in the product parameters. The glass part of the bottle can usually be handed over, after thorough emptying and rinsing, to a separate collection system for glass. The dropper and closure may contain a combination of several materials (plastic, rubber, metal), so it is advisable to follow the pictograms and information given with the product in the parameter table and, accordingly, separate the individual parts into the appropriate collection containers, where technically possible. If the individual components cannot be safely separated, follow local rules for waste from small cosmetic products.

For the dropper to function correctly, it is important not to overfill the bottle and to leave sufficient headspace for air in the upper part. During initial testing, we recommend filling the bottle only partially and checking the seal both in an upright position and during brief inversion. The density, viscosity and surface tension of the product can affect the dripping rate, so it is advisable to carry out a dosing test before the product is finally labelled and released. In the case of very thin or, conversely, very thick formulations, we recommend testing several types of droppers available in the range to achieve optimal application comfort.
