For every new product, however, we recommend doing your own compatibility test – check the behaviour of the formulation over time, the sealing of the dropper and any sedimentation or colour change, so that you can be sure that the packaging is suitable for the specific composition in the long term.

The packaging can be reused if hygiene principles are followed. Before every new filling, first clean the bottle and the dropper mechanically (removal of product residues), then rinse them thoroughly and allow them to dry. Before re-use, it is necessary to disinfect the packaging – we recommend using isopropyl alcohol or ethanol, for example the products IPA 99 isopropyl alkohol (ALK001) or Etanol 96 denaturovaný rastlinný (ALK002), which you can find on the pages /ipa-99-isopropyl-alkohol-1-l/ and /etanol-96-denaturovany-rastlinny-1-l/. After disinfection, let all parts dry completely so that there is no dilution or influence of your formulation.

If you decide not to reuse the bottle, we recommend recycling it according to the material type indicated in the product parameters. The glass container should, after emptying and basic rinsing, be placed in the glass recycling collection. The dropper and any plastic or rubber parts must be sorted according to their material or, if precise categorization is not possible, disposed of in municipal waste. By following these principles, you support sustainable handling of packaging materials and reduce the amount of waste.

With thicker oil serums or more viscous emulsions, it is important to verify whether the chosen type of dropper allows smooth and even dosing. We recommend performing a trial filling on a small sample: check how the product flows through the capillary of the dropper, whether it does not clog the neck and whether excessive vacuum is not created. If the dosing is too slow or impractical, it may be more appropriate to choose another type of closure or dosing system available in our range.
