The glass bottle with a matte surface is a professional packaging suitable for precise dosing of liquid formulations where protection of sensitive components and controlled dripping are important. In combination with a dropper, it provides comfortable and hygienic use for home and artisan production of cosmetics, serums, oil blends and other specialized formulations.
Thanks to the dark matte glass, the contents are protected from undesirable effects of light, which contributes to the stability of active substances and extends the shelf life of a properly prepared formulation. The bottle is designed to look aesthetic and professional and to support the premium perception of your product.
Glass bottles are compatible with various types of closures and dispensing systems (for example screw caps, droppers, sprayers or practical applicators) according to the parameters selected for the product. Combinations of packaging and closures that are created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend carrying out your own compatibility test – in particular of sealing, dosing and the behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation.
All technical parameters of the packaging are given in the attached Packaging Quality Certificate and in the product parameters.
The dark glass of the bottle is very suitable for packaging essential oils, perfume compositions and concentrated aromatic blends where protection from light and precise drop-by-drop dosing are important. When working with highly concentrated components, it is always important to verify the compatibility of the specific formulation with the packaging used and to produce a trial batch in order to check the stability of fragrance, colour and viscosity over time.
The bottle can be reused if hygienic principles are observed. Before each filling, the packaging must be thoroughly cleaned, rinsed and then disinfected with a suitable alcohol-based agent, for example isopropyl alcohol or ethanol. For disinfection you can use the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. After disinfection, allow the bottle and dropper to dry completely at room temperature and only then proceed to filling in order to minimize the risk of microbiological contamination.
For even dosing it is important that the bottle is filled appropriately with respect to the recommended volume and that the dropper matches the neck type exactly. After filling, always perform a functionality test – check how the dropper responds to different viscosities (aqueous, oily and more viscous blends), whether any leakage occurs when the bottle is inverted and whether the thread is firmly tightened. It is also recommended to check the behaviour of the packaging after several days of storage to make sure that sealing and dosing remain stable.
To make it easier to choose the packaging, you can use the advanced filter, which you will find at the top of the page after clicking on the relevant packaging category. Thanks to the filter you can quickly narrow down the offer according to parameters such as neck type, size, colour or material. In this way you can tailor the selection of bottles, jars, dropper vials or sprayers so that they correspond as closely as possible to your formulation and the intended method of application.
Always store the bottle with the finished product tightly closed, in a dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Although dark glass helps protect sensitive components, the best results are achieved at a stable room temperature without significant fluctuations. The storage time depends on the composition of the formulation, the preservative system used and the hygiene during filling – it is recommended to keep records of the production date and, for professional products, to carry out appropriate stability and microbiological tests according to the nature of the product.
If you decide not to use the bottle any further, we recommend recycling it in accordance with local waste-sorting regulations. After emptying and basic rinsing, place the glass body of the bottle in the container designated for glass according to the instructions in your municipality or city. The dropper and any plastic or rubber parts should be separated and sorted according to the type of material, which is indicated in the product parameters. By sorting correctly, you support the reprocessing of raw materials and reduce the amount of municipal waste.
