How to correctly prepare the glass bottle for repeated use?

The packaging can be reused if basic hygiene principles are observed. Before each new filling, the bottle and cap must be thoroughly cleaned, rinsed and then disinfected with a suitable alcohol-based preparation, for example isopropyl alcohol IPA 99 % or plant-based ethanol Ethanol 96 % denatured. After disinfection, allow all parts to dry completely, and only then refill the packaging.

How should this glass packaging be correctly disposed of or recycled if I no longer want to use it?

If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend recycling it according to the material composition specified in the product parameters. The glass bottle itself is usually placed in the container intended for glass after emptying and basic rinsing. It is advisable to separate the cap and any plastic or metal parts and place them in the appropriate sorted waste according to their material. Is this bottle also suitable for formulas with a higher content of essential oils or alcohol?

Glass packaging is generally very suitable for formulas containing essential oils, aromatic concentrates or alcohol, because glass is chemically stable and, when used correctly, does not react with the contents. However, for formulations with a high proportion of essential oils or alcohol, we always recommend carrying out your own compatibility test – filling a smaller quantity of the product, observing the behaviour of the packaging, the sealing of the cap and any changes in the fragrance or appearance of the product over time.

What should you pay attention to when storing filled glass bottles?

We recommend storing filled bottles well closed, in a dry environment, away from direct sunlight and other sources of heat. A stable temperature and protection from light help maintain the quality of the contents as well as of the packaging itself. For more sensitive formulas (for example with a high content of natural oils or active ingredients), it is advisable to follow the recommendations of the manufacturer of the raw materials used and to regularly check the condition of the product (fragrance, colour, consistency).
