The glass bottle with sprayer is generally suitable also for formulations containing alcohol and essential oils, since glass is a stable and inert material. However, the compatibility of the sprayer itself with the specific composition may differ. For products with a higher proportion of alcohol or oils we always recommend performing your own test – checking the smoothness of spraying, sealing and long-term behavior of the material in contact with your formulation.

The bottle and the sprayer can be reused if hygienic principles are followed. Before each new filling, however, it is necessary to thoroughly clean and disinfect the packaging in order to minimize the risk of microbial contamination and undesirable reactions with the previous contents. For disinfection we recommend using isopropyl alcohol or ethanol, available in our range as IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol and Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. After disinfection, allow all parts to dry thoroughly before refilling.

First we recommend rinsing the bottle with warm water and a suitable cleansing agent and thoroughly removing all product residues. Then rinse the bottle and the individual parts of the sprayer with clean water and let them drain. After mechanical cleaning it is necessary to disinfect the packaging – ideally using alcohol, for example the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. After applying the alcohol, allow all parts to dry naturally in a clean, dust-protected place before refilling.

If you decide not to reuse the bottle and sprayer, we recommend recycling them in accordance with local separate collection rules. The glass body of the bottle is usually intended for the glass container, while the plastic and metal parts of the sprayer belong to the mixed plastic and metal fraction according to the recommendations stated in the product parameters and the recycling symbols on the packaging. Before handing over to separated collection, empty the packaging and, if possible, remove product residues. Always follow the information in the parameter table for the specific product and the local recycling guidelines.

This type of sprayer is primarily designed for thin liquids, such as toners, hydrolats, perfume and aromatic blends or light aqueous solutions. For thicker emulsions and preparations with higher viscosity, suction may be impaired and the formation of the mist uneven. In such a case we recommend considering the use of another type of dispenser (for example a pump) in combination with a suitable bottle and always testing the dosing functionality on your specific formula before final filling.
