The packaging can be reused if hygienic principles are observed. Before each new filling, the bottle and the dosing pump must be thoroughly cleaned and then disinfected with a suitable alcohol-based preparation, for example isopropyl alcohol IPA 99% or plant-based ethanol Ethanol 96% denatured. This reduces the risk of microbial spoilage of the product and extends its stability during use.

First we recommend carefully rinsing the bottle and dispenser with warm water and a mild cleaning agent suitable for packaging that comes into contact with cosmetics. Then rinse all parts thoroughly with clean water so that no detergent residues remain. After drying, it is advisable to disinfect the internal surfaces and the dosing mechanism with an alcohol solution, for example with the products IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96% denatured plant-based. After the alcohol has evaporated and complete drying, the bottle can be safely refilled again.

If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend first emptying it and removing any product residues. Then separate the individual parts according to the material stated in the parameter table for the product on the Handymade.sk website and sort them into the appropriate collection containers (usually plastic packaging into the plastics container). This will support recycling of the material and reduce the amount of waste. When sorting, always follow local waste management rules and the information in the parameters of the specific packaging.

Plastic packaging of this type is not intended for filling with hot or very warm products, nor for exposure to high temperatures (for example during boiling, sterilisation with boiling water or dishwashing in a dishwasher). When the recommended temperatures are exceeded, there is a risk of deformation of the bottle, deterioration of the function of the dosing pump and an effect on the tightness of the closure. We recommend filling only products cooled to room temperature and protecting the packaging from direct sources of heat.

The dosing pump is ideal for liquid and semi-liquid products with low to medium viscosity, such as body and facial lotions, lighter creams, fluid emulsions, cleansing gels or gentle soap preparations. Before putting it into practice, we always recommend carrying out your own compatibility test – fill the bottle with a smaller amount of product and verify the functionality of dosing, tightness of the closure, behaviour of the material in contact with the formulation and stability over several days. This will give you the certainty that the packaging will fully meet your requirements during long-term use.
