The bottle can be reused if correct hygiene principles are observed. Before each new filling, the packaging must be thoroughly cleaned and rinsed and then disinfected with a suitable preparation, for example with IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or with 96 % denatured plant-based ethanol. After the disinfectant has dried, check the cleanliness of the inside and the neck and only then refill the container.

Before the first filling, we recommend rinsing the bottle with a suitable cleaning solution, then with clean water and allowing it to drain thoroughly. Afterwards, disinfect the packaging using alcohol-based preparations, for example isopropyl alcohol or ethanol. Before filling, make sure that the inner surface is dry and free of residues of cleaning agents, so that the stability or fragrance of the final product is not affected.

The plastic packaging is not intended for exposure to high temperatures or for intensive heat treatment. When exposed to excessive heat, the bottle may gradually deform, the sealing may deteriorate, or the shape of the neck may change, which will affect the functionality of the closure. For this reason, it is not recommended to wash the bottle in a dishwasher or to boil it. For cleaning, use lukewarm water, a mild cleaning agent and subsequent disinfection with an alcohol solution.

If you decide not to reuse the bottle, we recommend recycling it according to the material marking given in the product parameters on the page. First remove any remaining contents and labels, then separate the packaging according to the type of plastic and place it in the appropriate container for sorted waste. In the case of a combination of several materials (for example a different type of plastic for the closure), it is advisable to disassemble them before disposal, so that the individual parts can be processed in the appropriate recycling streams.

You can choose a specific neck finish, the required size, colour and material of the packaging, or combine several filters at once. In this way you will quickly narrow down the selection only to packaging that suits your product type and preferred dosing method.

When choosing a closure or dispenser, it is important to take into account the type of bottle neck, the viscosity of the formulation and the desired method of application. For liquid toners or hydrolats, a fine spray pump is practical, whereas for thicker gels and creams a dosing pump is more suitable. All combinations of packaging and closures created directly on Handymade are tested and functional; nevertheless, we always recommend performing your own test – checking tightness during transport, dosing in real use and the behaviour of the material in contact with the active substances, oils or alcohol used.
