Lemon myrtle essential oil is produced in Australia by steam distillation from the Lemon Myrtle tree. It is hand-harvested in the wild and from it arises a beautiful fresh, sweet citrus fragrance, which is refreshing and stimulating. Its intensity is much stronger than, for example, that of lemon.
It has strong antibacterial effects and contains more than 96 % of the aldehyde citral, it helps cleanse the skin as well as the air. When applied to the skin, especially oily and acne-prone skin, this oil must be dosed carefully, a maximum usage of 0.7 % is recommended. All supplied raw materials are of cosmetic grade, not suitable for internal use. When handling, use appropriate protective equipment.

WHAT ARE ESSENTIAL OILS?
Essential oils, also called ethereal oils, are natural aromatic substances that come from various parts of plants – trunks, roots, seeds, flowers, leaves, etc. They give plants their characteristic scent and, in addition, they also have healing and protective effects. They act very positively on symptoms on the physical, emotional and mental level.
Their chemical composition is fairly complex. Essential oils are most often obtained from plants by distillation, extraction or pressing. Essential oils are highly concentrated and are used directly on the skin only after dilution with carrier vegetable oils (almond, apricot kernel, jojoba, etc.). The only exceptions are tea tree and lavender essential oils, which you can apply directly.
Use essential oils for inhalation or in your cosmetic products; we do not recommend the consumption of any essential oils of any brands.
Essential oils are fat-soluble, therefore, if you want to use them in products without oils and butters, use a solvent /solubiliser/.
HOW CAN I USE AN ESSENTIAL OIL?
Cosmetics and soap making – the required amount of essential oil depends on the specific formula and the quantity produced. Inhalation, steaming – drip a few drops of essential oil into an aroma lamp, diffuser or a container with hot water. Bath – mix the drops of oil in a base oil (coconut, olive ...), in 1 dl of milk or in a teaspoon of honey, pour this mixture into the bathtub. Essential oils alone are not soluble in water, the drops would float on the surface. Massage – add a few drops of essential oil to cold-pressed vegetable oil (approx. 50 ml) and mix well. Have a pleasant massage. Sauna – you can choose from conifers, rosemary, eucalyptus, sage, mint or citrus scents. The number of drops depends on the size of the sauna and your preference.
Essential oils are also commonly used in skincare, local compresses, hair masks, in oral hygiene care...
