Product description

Plastic pill jar is a universal packaging component suitable for the safe storage of solid dosage forms such as pills, capsules, granules or small free-flowing mixtures. Thanks to its practical shape and reliable closure, it offers easy handling, convenient dispensing and hygienic storage of the contents in both home and professional settings. The white colour of the body and lid creates a clean, technical look, making the jar ideal for the segment of food supplements, cosmetic raw materials or laboratory samples.

Possible uses

  • packaging of food supplements in tablet and capsule form for home use and smaller professional brands
  • storage of free-flowing cosmetic raw materials such as powder masks, clays, salts or exfoliating blends
  • practical jar for herbal tablets, nutraceuticals and encapsulated extracts
  • organisation and storage of test samples, trial batches or trial product packs
  • packaging for small galenic preparations in solid form that need protection from external influences

Packaging advantages

  • Stable plastic material resistant to normal handling, impacts and pressure during storage or transport.
  • Good protection of the contents thanks to the compatible lid, which minimises the ingress of contamination and moisture from the surroundings.
  • Smooth surface of the jar suitable for label application or printing, making it easier to identify the product and present it professionally.
  • Universal use in cosmetics, for food supplements and for technical or laboratory samples (always according to an individual assessment of the suitability of the packaging for the specific formulation).
  • Low weight reduces transport costs and makes everyday handling easier for the end user.

Combining with closures and dispensers

Combinations of packaging and closures created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend performing your own compatibility test (sealing, dosing and behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation). In this way you will verify that the selected jar and lid are suitable for the specific product and that no undesirable changes or leakage of contents occur during long-term use.

Technical parameters

All technical parameters of the packaging are listed in the attached Packaging Quality Certificate and in the product parameters.

FAQ – Most frequently asked questions

Can the plastic jar be used repeatedly?

The jar can be used repeatedly as long as you follow basic hygiene principles and the packaging is not visibly damaged. Before each new filling, the jar and lid must be thoroughly cleaned and then disinfected with a suitable alcohol-based preparation, for example using the products IPA 99% – isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96% denatured plant-based. Only after the inner surface has completely dried is the jar ready for reuse.

How should the jar be properly cleaned before first and repeated use?

Before first and repeated use, we recommend washing the jar and lid in lukewarm water with a mild cleaning agent, rinsing thoroughly and allowing them to dry. It is then advisable to disinfect the internal surfaces with an alcohol-based preparation, for example with isopropyl or ethanol. Allow the disinfectant solution to act briefly, pour off the excess and let the packaging dry naturally at room temperature.

How can I safely recycle the jar if I no longer wish to use it?

If you decide not to reuse the jar, we recommend first emptying it and removing any product residue. Then separate the packaging into individual parts (jar body, lid, any inserts) according to the materials used, as specified in the product parameters and in the Packaging Quality Certificate. Plastic parts are sorted into the appropriate plastic container, or according to the applicable local waste-sorting rules. Always follow the material markings on the packaging and the manufacturer’s recommendations given in the product parameter table.

For which type of products is this jar most suitable?

The jar is optimal especially for packaging solid forms such as pills, capsules, small granules or powder blends, where protection against contamination and practical dosing are important. It is suitable for manufacturers of food supplements, cosmetic brands, artisanal producers and laboratories that need clear and hygienic packaging for smaller product series or trial batches.

You offer many types of packaging – how can I find the right one for my product?

The simplest way is to use the advanced filter in the packaging categories. After clicking on the selected category (for example bottles, jars or medicine bottles), you will find the filter in the upper part of the page. There you can conveniently choose the required parameters – type and size of neck, overall size of the packaging, colour and material. This enables you to quickly filter out the packaging that best matches your product, the technological filling options and the visual style of your brand.
