Is this packaging suitable for repeated use?

The packaging can be used repeatedly if basic hygiene principles are followed and it is handled appropriately. Before each new filling, the bottle and the sprayer must be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected, for example by using isopropyl alcohol or ethanol (e.g. products available in the disinfection category on Handymade). This minimises the risk of microbial contamination and affecting the stability of your formulation.

How should I properly clean and disinfect the bottle before the next filling?

Before repeated filling, we recommend first rinsing the bottle with a suitable cleaning solution or with warm water and surfactant, and then drying it thoroughly. It is then appropriate to disinfect the inner surface and the parts that come into contact with the product using an alcohol-based preparation. High-percentage alcohol solutions intended for technical and cosmetic use are, for example, practical for this purpose. Disinfection before each filling helps maintain the quality and hygienic safety of the product throughout the entire period of use.

How should a filled packaging with trigger sprayer be stored correctly?

Always store the filled bottle well closed, in a dry and clean environment, away from direct sunlight and sources of heat. Storage at a stable room temperature is recommended, unless your composition requires a different regime. Avoid long-term exposure to significant temperature fluctuations or mechanical pressure so as not to affect the properties of the packaging or its contents. When storing more aggressive blends, it is advisable to carry out a material compatibility and long-term stability test in advance.

How can I dispose of or recycle this packaging in an environmentally friendly way if I do not want to continue using it?

Before handing it over to sorted waste, it is advisable to empty the bottle and remove any remaining contents as far as possible. Then proceed according to the material marking on the packaging: place the plastic body and components in an appropriate way into the relevant container for sorted waste in accordance with local rules.
