Product description
Transparent bottle with black pump dispenser for liquid and cream products
Plastic bottle, transparent round, black pump dispenser, 28/410, 500 ml is a complete packaging and closure set: a round transparent bottle with a nominal volume of 500 ml and a black pump that releases approximately 1 ml of product with each press. It is suitable wherever a product is used repeatedly without unscrewing — liquid soap, shower gel, body lotion, shampoo, conditioner, massage or body oil, or cleansing emulsion.
The transparent bottle wall reveals the colour, consistency and remaining content, which is appreciated for products where appearance matters. The plastic is lightweight and shatter-resistant, making the bottle suitable for the bathroom, shower or washbasin where glass would be a risk. The set is declared as suitable for contact with cosmetics. The bottle alone holds a food-contact certificate; the complete set as a unit is intended for cosmetic products.
What makes this set practical
- Dispensing without opening – the pump releases a measured amount with a single press; the contents do not spill and do not get on hands or surfaces as they would with an unscrewed cap.
- Lower risk of contamination – fingers never enter the bottle during use, which helps keep water-based and emulsion products clean throughout their shelf life.
- Volume for frequent use – 500 ml is a practical size for products consumed daily: liquid soaps at the washbasin, shower gels, shampoos or body lotions for the whole family.
- Visibility of contents – the transparent material lets you see the fill level, colour layering or approaching end of product.
- Lightweight and durable – a plastic bottle survives a drop in the bathroom without breaking and reduces shipment weight compared to glass.
Intended use of the set
The set is intended primarily for liquid to medium-viscosity products that the pump can draw up through the dip tube and push through the dispensing head: liquid soaps, shower gels, shampoos, lighter-consistency conditioners, body and face lotions, massage and body oils, cleansing milks or micellar waters. With very thick creams and butters the pump draws with difficulty or not at all. With products containing solid particles (scrubs, seeds, plant pieces) there is a risk of the valve becoming blocked.
The pump dip tube is sized to reach the bottom of the bottle, so the contents can be dispensed down to the last drop. If the tube rests against the bottom and obstructs suction, its end can be cut at an angle.
Before first use, press the pump several times without product until the dip tube fills — the first few doses may be smaller or contain only air. With thicker products it helps to slightly dilute the formulation or reduce the thickener content so it dispenses smoothly.
Nominal and total volume
The nominal volume is the amount the bottle is designed to hold under normal filling conditions. The total volume to the brim is the physical capacity up to the neck and is always somewhat larger. The difference provides headspace for the dip tube and pump body, which occupy some space once screwed on, and for expansion of the contents with temperature changes. The bottle should therefore be filled to the nominal volume, not to the brim — overfilling causes spillage when the pump is inserted and makes the closure harder to tighten.
Useful information
Before first filling, rinse both the bottle and pump, disinfect with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol if needed, and allow to dry completely. Flush the pump by pumping clean water or alcohol through it and allow to drain so no moisture remains in the dip tube.
The transparent plastic does not protect the contents from light. Products sensitive to light — formulations with a higher proportion of unsaturated vegetable oils, vitamin C or natural pigments — are better stored away from direct sunlight or in a dark container. Transparent bottles are best suited to products that are consumed quickly.
Plastic may react with a high proportion of essential oils or with solvents on prolonged contact. At typical cosmetic concentrations of essential oils in emulsions and surfactant products this is generally not an issue. With undiluted oil blends or concentrates we recommend testing the container with the specific formulation before large-scale filling.
During transport of a filled bottle the pump may be pressed by pressure within the package. If the head cannot be locked against compression, ship the bottle with a standard cap of the same neck finish and pack the pump separately, or secure the head with stretch film.
The set can be refilled repeatedly with the same type of product after washing and drying. When changing the fill — particularly from a surfactant product to an oil or vice versa — rinse the pump thoroughly; residues from the previous contents will otherwise cause cloudiness or an off-note in the new fill. The flat cylindrical section of the bottle serves as the label area; exact bottle dimensions are listed in the product parameters. The empty packaging should be rinsed and placed in plastic recycling.
If you need a different closure for the bottle, closures with the same neck finish and other ready-made combinations are available in the Handymade range. When creating a custom combination we recommend verifying the seal, dispensing performance and container behaviour with the specific formulation.
