White plastic pump 28/410 is a practical dispensing component designed for hygienic and precise application of liquid products into the palms or directly onto the skin or hair. In combination with a suitable bottle, it creates a functional cosmetic or hygiene packaging that facilitates dosing and reduces the risk of contamination of the contents. The pump is designed so that, when correctly paired with a compatible neck, it ensures reliable sealing and smooth dispensing performance.
The plastic pump is intended for use with compatible bottles with the appropriate neck type, creating practical dispensing packaging for liquid and semi-liquid products. A solution assembled in this way replaces classic screw caps and enables more convenient, more hygienic and more precise use of the product. Combinations of packaging and closures created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend performing your own compatibility test – check sealing, correct dosing and the behaviour of the packaging in contact with your specific formulation (viscosity, oil content, surface-active substances, etc.).
All technical parameters of the packaging are specified in the enclosed Packaging Quality Certificate and in the product parameters.
Before first use, check whether the bottle has the same neck type as the pump and whether the thread is clean and undamaged. Place the pump vertically onto the neck, tighten it evenly, but do not force the thread, in order not to damage the sealing surfaces. Then press the dispenser several times until the system fills with product and the vacuum required for smooth pumping is created. When changing the formulation (consistency, oil content), we recommend carrying out your own dosing test and checking whether any leakage of contents occurs around the thread.
The pump can be reused while maintaining full functionality, provided that you follow basic hygiene rules at each refill and visually check the condition of the mechanism. Before reuse, the pump must be mechanically cleaned as thoroughly as possible and then disinfected with a suitable alcohol-based preparation, for example IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96% denatured, plant-based. Allow the disinfectant solution to act briefly on all parts that come into contact with the product, then allow the packaging to dry thoroughly at room temperature. Only then should you fill it with a new product.
If you decide not to reuse the packaging, it is recommended to recycle it according to the type of plastic specified in the parameters of the particular product. Before placing it in sorted waste, it is advisable to remove product residues and, if necessary, rinse the packaging with a small amount of water. Then separate the pump into main parts (e.g. body, dip tube, any separate plastic components) and dispose of them in the appropriate plastics container, if permitted by local recycling rules. In the case of composite materials, follow local waste management recommendations. The exact recycling symbol and the recommended sorting method can be found in the parameter table for the given packaging on the Handymade website.
The pump is most suitable for liquid to medium-viscosity preparations such as gels, lighter emulsions, body and facial milks, liquid soaps, shampoos or lighter oil blends. For very thick creams and butters, the movement of the dispenser may be limited, so we recommend testing functionality in advance on a small product sample. For highly foaming or very thin formulations, it is advisable to verify that dosing proceeds without splashing and that no air is drawn in, which could affect user comfort.
To select a suitable bottle, jar or pump, we recommend using the extended filter in the packaging categories. After clicking on the relevant category, the extended filter is located at the top of the page and allows products to be sorted according to several parameters. You can filter packaging by neck type, size, colour and material, making it easy to find a combination of bottle and dispenser that fits both your formulation and your brand’s visual style. For specific requirements, it is advisable to also check the product parameters and, if necessary, perform your own compatibility test.
