Yes, the packaging can be reused if hygiene principles are observed. Before each new filling, the bottle must be thoroughly cleaned and then disinfected with a suitable alcohol solution, for example using the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alkohol or etanol 96 % denaturovaný rastlinný. After cleaning, allow the packaging to dry completely to minimise the risk of microbial contamination of the filled cosmetic product.

We recommend cleaning the bottle by hand with lukewarm water, a mild cleaning agent and a soft brush or applicator that can also reach into the neck. It is then advisable to rinse the packaging with drinking water, let it drain and dry it thoroughly. Before each new filling, always disinfect the packaging with alcohol to minimise the risk of microbial growth and to maintain the stability of the cosmetic product.

If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend recycling it according to local waste-sorting rules. After emptying the bottle, remove any product residues and, if necessary, the label, and dispose of the packaging in the appropriate container intended for plastic waste according to the material designation in the product parameters. In this way, you support plastic circulation and reduce the amount of mixed waste.

Recycled PET, similarly to conventional PET, should not be exposed to high temperatures. When exposed to heat, there is a risk of deformation of the packaging, reduced shape stability and undesirable changes in the material. For this reason, the packaging is not suitable for washing in a dishwasher or for boiling. We recommend manual cleaning at lower temperatures in order to preserve the functionality and appearance of the bottle.

Recycled PET is generally stable towards many standard cosmetic formulations, including preparations with a slightly increased proportion of alcohol. However, for products with a higher content of solvents, essential oils or strongly active substances, we recommend carrying out your own compatibility test – fill a smaller test quantity and observe the behaviour of the packaging (colour, softening, deformation, sealing of the closure) over several days to weeks. This will give you certainty that the packaging is suitable for the specific formulation.
