FAQ – Frequently asked questions

Can this plastic bottle be used repeatedly?

Yes, the packaging can be used repeatedly if hygiene principles are observed. Before each new filling, the bottle and the closure must be thoroughly cleaned and subsequently disinfected with a suitable agent, for example isopropyl alcohol IPA 99 % or plant-based ethanol Ethanol 96 % denatured. Only after it is completely dry is the bottle ready for safe reuse.

How should I properly clean and disinfect the bottle before refilling?

We recommend first rinsing the packaging and the closure with warm water and a mild detergent to remove residues of the previous product. It is then advisable to apply an alcohol-based disinfectant, for example IPA 99 % or Ethanol 96 % denatured, with focus on the interior of the bottle, the neck thread and the internal parts of the closure. After disinfection, let all parts dry completely at room temperature and only then refill the packaging.

How can I safely dispose of or recycle the bottle if I do not want to use it further?

If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend emptying it, wiping off any remaining contents with a paper towel and, according to the material designation given in the product parameters, placing it in the appropriate separated collection of plastics. Before placing it in the container, it is advisable to lightly compress the packaging so that it takes up less space. If you are in doubt, always follow the recycling symbols given with the product and the local waste-sorting rules in your municipality.

For which types of products is the disc-top closure most suitable?

The disc-top closure is ideal for liquid and medium-viscosity products that are dispensed in small amounts – for example body and face emulsions, liquid soaps, shower gels, make-up remover solutions or working solutions for household use. It allows one-hand dosing and protects the contents against accidental spillage during normal transport of the packaging.
