FAQ – Frequently asked questions

Is this plastic bottle suitable for repeated use?

The bottle can be used repeatedly if basic hygiene principles are followed. Before each new filling, we recommend thoroughly cleaning the packaging and then disinfecting it with a suitable alcohol-based preparation, for example using the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alkohol or etanol 96 % denaturovaný rastlinný. This reduces the risk of microbial contamination and of affecting the stability of the new refill.

How should I safely clean the PET plastic packaging and what should I watch out for?

When cleaning PET bottles, use rather lukewarm to mildly warm water and a common cleaning agent that is suitable for contact with cosmetic packaging. The PET material should not be exposed to high temperatures – with water that is too hot or with boiling there is a risk of deformation of the packaging. For this reason, the bottle is not suitable for washing in a dishwasher or for sterilisation by boiling. After washing, allow the packaging to dry thoroughly and then disinfect it with a suitable alcohol-based preparation before filling.

How should I correctly recycle this bottle if I no longer want to use it?

If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend recycling it responsibly according to the material type specified in the product parameters. Plastic bottles made of PET are usually sorted into the container designated for plastics. Before disposal, remove any product residues, rinse the packaging if possible and you can sort the closure separately if it is made from a different type of plastic. By following local waste sorting rules, you support efficient material recycling.

Can I fill this bottle with hot or freshly sterilised products?

Filling hot products into PET packaging is not suitable, because the material is not designed for exposure to high temperatures and may become deformed or weakened. We recommend filling only cooled products or products at room temperature. For formulations with a higher content of alcohol or essential oils, it is advisable to carry out your own compatibility test – a small trial filling that verifies the behaviour of the material in long-term contact with the given formula.
