The plastic bottle with a disc-top closure is a practical and professional packaging solution suitable for various liquid and gel formulations. Thanks to its thoughtfully designed shape and functional dispensing system, it is ideal for products where comfortable and controlled squeezing of the contents is important. The durable plastic material is designed to provide reliable protection of the fill during normal use in both home-made and professional cosmetics.
This type of packaging is especially popular for the production of natural cosmetics, artisan products and smaller product series. The disc-top closure enables easy one-handed opening, hygienic dispensing and convenient re-closing, which you will appreciate in everyday use. The bottle looks aesthetic, takes up little space and can be easily combined with other packaging within a unified brand visual identity.
The combinations of packaging and closures that are created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend performing your own compatibility test – check the sealing, dispensing and behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation (viscosity, content of alcohol, oils or active ingredients). In this way you verify the long-term stability and reliable performance of your final product.

The bottle can be reused provided you strictly follow hygiene principles during handling and storage. Before each new filling it is necessary to clean the packaging thoroughly and disinfect it – suitable products include for example IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96% denatured, plant-based. After applying the disinfectant, allow the inside of the bottle and the closure to dry completely so that no unwanted dilution of your formula occurs.
Before first use we recommend rinsing the packaging mechanically with suitable clean water, optionally with a mild cleaning agent, and then disinfecting it with an alcohol-based disinfectant (e.g. products in the IPA or ethanol category available on Handymade.sk). After disinfection, let the packaging and the disc-top closure dry completely at room temperature. A bottle prepared in this way is suitable for filling with a cosmetic product according to your formulation.
The bottle with a disc-top closure is ideal mainly for liquid and semi-liquid formulations – body milks, shampoos, shower gels, light emulsions and oil blends. For very thick creams and balms, dispensing through the narrow neck and disc-top system can be difficult. For significantly denser textures it is generally more suitable to choose a jar or pot, where application of the product is more comfortable.
To select suitable packaging you can use the advanced filter in the relevant category. After clicking on the packaging category the filter is located in the upper part of the page and allows clear sorting according to several parameters – for example by type of neck, desired size, colour or material. By combining these filters you can easily narrow down the offer to packaging that best matches your formulation and the visual style of your brand.
We recommend storing the bottle in a dry and clean place, away from direct sunlight and sources of heat. During use avoid excessive mechanical stress on the closure and do not leave the product open for long periods of time in order to minimize contact of the contents with air and impurities. If you use the packaging repeatedly, always clean and disinfect it thoroughly between individual fillings to maintain hygienic safety and the quality of your products.
