The plastic bottle with aluminium cap is a practical, professional-looking container suitable for various liquid and slightly viscous formulations. Thanks to the reliable screw cap, it helps protect the contents from leakage and contamination, which is ideal for producing cosmetics, hygiene products or concentrated blends for home DIY projects. The bottle material is designed to be lightweight, durable and suitable for everyday use in both small and larger filling batches.
The container is suitable for packaging various liquid products where reliable closure, easy handling and convenient dosing during use are required. Thanks to its practical shape, the bottle fits comfortably in the hand, is easy to fill and takes up minimal space during storage and transport. The elegant metal cap also gives the container a professional appearance, making it suitable for final retail packaging as well.
Bottles in this category are compatible with various types of closures and dosing systems (for example screw caps, droppers, spray pumps or practical applicators) according to the parameters selected for products on Handymade. Combinations of containers and closures created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend performing your own compatibility test (seal integrity, dosing and behaviour of the container in contact with the specific formulation).
All technical parameters of the container are provided in the attached Packaging Quality Certificate and in the product specifications.
The container is intended for normal temperature conditions during storage and use. It is not suitable for exposure to high temperatures, for boiling or for use in a dishwasher, as this may lead to deformation of the bottle or impairment of its mechanical stability. When handling hot fills, it is necessary to observe the recommended temperature range specified in the packaging documentation.
The bottle can be reused if hygiene principles are observed and as long as it is not visibly damaged or deformed. Before each new filling, the container must be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected – for disinfection, we recommend using, for example, technical isopropyl alcohol IPA 99 % or plant-based ethanol Ethanol 96 % denatured. After rinsing and drying the container, it is recommended to carry out a trial filling with a small amount of product to verify the seal of the cap and the behaviour of the material with the specific formulation.
The plastic container is not intended to be exposed to high temperatures. When in contact with excessively hot fills or during prolonged heating, the bottle walls may gradually deform, the shape of the thread may change, or the seal of the cap may deteriorate. The container is not suitable for boiling, sterilisation in boiling water or washing in a dishwasher. If you need to hot-fill the product, we recommend checking the maximum permitted temperature in the packaging quality certificate and first carrying out a small trial filling.
After emptying the bottle, it is first advisable to remove residues of the original product with warm (not boiling) water and a suitable detergent that is compatible with the material used. You can then rinse the container with distilled or demineralised water and use alcohol-based solutions for final disinfection, for example IPA 99 % or Ethanol 96 % denatured. After applying the alcohol, allow the container to dry completely at room temperature, ideally upside down on a clean surface, to remove any remaining moisture before refilling.
If you decide not to reuse the container, we recommend recycling it according to the material type specified in the product specifications and on the recycling symbol on the packaging. Before placing it in sorted waste, it is advisable to rinse the bottle, remove product residues and, where possible, separate the plastic bottle from the metal cap. The plastic body of the bottle is usually placed in the plastics container, and the metal cap in the metals container. However, specific recycling recommendations may differ depending on the local waste sorting system, so it is a good idea to follow the instructions of your local recycling centre or municipality as well.
To select a suitable container, we recommend using the advanced filter in the packaging material category. After clicking on the relevant category, a filter panel appears at the top of the page, where you can sort containers according to parameters such as neck type and diameter, overall size, colour or material used. By combining several filters, you can quickly narrow down the selection to containers that match your formulation and visual requirements. If you are unsure, it is advisable to start with a smaller test quantity and verify the compatibility of the container with the specific product.
The plastic bottle is significantly lighter and more resistant to breaking when dropped, which you will appreciate when shipping parcels, travelling or using it in the bathroom. A glass vial, on the other hand, offers higher chemical inertness and is suitable for some more sensitive formulations or products with a higher proportion of essential oils. When choosing, it is important to take into account the nature of your formulation, the method of use and the expected handling. We always recommend producing a trial batch in the selected container and monitoring product stability, cap seal and overall user comfort.
