If the bottle is made of PET material, it is important to take into account that PET is not suitable for exposure to high temperatures. When in contact with hot liquids or when heated above the recommended values, the packaging may deform and lose its dimensional stability. PET packaging is not suitable for washing in a dishwasher or for boiling, because the elevated temperature and more aggressive washing programs can damage the material. If you decide not to use the packaging further, we recommend recycling it according to the material designation, which you will find in the product parameter table. The material of the bottle and the closure should be identified before disposal and handed over to the appropriate separated collection (for example a container for plastics). Before placing it in sorted waste, it is advisable to remove any product residues and at least roughly rinse the packaging to prevent contamination of the recycling stream. If your local collection system requires disassembly of the packaging (e.g. separation of the closure), follow the waste‑sorting rules in force in your municipality.
