The bottle can be reused if basic hygiene principles are observed. Before each new filling, the packaging must be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected to minimise the risk of microbial contamination. For disinfection we recommend using a suitable alcohol-based preparation, for example isopropyl alcohol or ethanol, which you can find in our range as IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol and Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. After cleaning, allow the bottle and the spray pump to dry completely and only then refill them.

Before reuse we recommend disassembling the bottle and spray pump into separate parts, rinsing them with warm water and a mild cleansing agent, and then rinsing thoroughly with clean water. It is then appropriate to disinfect the packaging with an alcohol solution – a practical solution is provided by the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. After applying the alcohol, allow the individual parts to air-dry at room temperature. You can then reassemble the bottle and fill it with a new product.

This type of plastic packaging is not intended for exposure to high temperatures or for thermal sterilisation procedures such as boiling. When exposed to excessive heat, the bottle may deform undesirably or the functionality of the spray pump may deteriorate. For the same reason, the packaging is not suitable for washing in a dishwasher. Cleaning with lukewarm to moderately warm water is recommended, supplemented by disinfection with a suitable alcohol-based preparation, in order to maintain the shape stability and service life of the packaging.

The functionality of the spray pump depends on the viscosity and composition of the filled formulation. For fine, watery solutions, direct filling without adjustments is usually sufficient. For thicker or partially oil-based preparations, we recommend first testing a small amount of product, checking the smoothness of spraying, the uniformity of the dispersion and the return of the spring after several presses. If the spraying is intermittent or produces too coarse droplets, an adjustment of the formula (reducing viscosity, changing the ratio of oil and water phase) or the choice of another type of packaging with a more suitable dosing system may be necessary.

If you decide not to use the bottle further, we recommend handing it over for recycling according to the type of plastic stated in the product parameters. Before disposal it is advisable to remove any product residues and, if applicable, the label, and to sort the packaging into the appropriate container in line with local waste collection rules. The spray pump may be composed of several material types, so it is practical to follow the recommendations in the parameter table for the product and the local waste management guidelines. By sorting correctly, you help ensure that the material is recycled and reused as efficiently as possible.
