The combination of the bottle and sprayer in this product is designed to provide practical, reliable and aesthetic packaging for spray formulations. Combinations of packaging and closures that are created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend performing your own compatibility test (sealing, dosing and behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation), so that you can be sure that the packaging meets all your requirements even during long-term use.

It is recommended to follow the recommended storage conditions specified in the product parameters in order to maintain the long-term functionality of both the bottle and the sprayer and the stability of the filled product.
The sprayer is primarily optimised for liquid, low-viscosity formulations such as hydrolats, toners, light water-based or water-alcohol solutions. Thicker emulsions or highly oil-based blends may reduce the quality of spraying and lead to uneven dosing. For specific formulations, we always recommend performing your own filling and dosing test on a small trial sample.
The bottle and the sprayer can be reused if proper hygiene practices are followed. Before each new filling, the packaging must be thoroughly cleaned and then disinfected with a suitable preparation, for example with isopropyl alcohol IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or plant-based ethanol Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. This minimises the risk of microbial contamination and of affecting the stability of the new formulation by residues of the previous product.
When cleaning the plastic packaging, it is important to avoid using very hot water and aggressive cleaning agents that could damage or weaken the material. The packaging is not suitable for cleaning in a dishwasher or for boiling, as exposure to high temperatures may lead to undesirable softening or deformation. Hand washing in moderately warm water with a mild detergent is recommended, followed by thorough rinsing and then disinfection with the recommended alcohol-based preparation before refilling.
If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend, after emptying and basic rinsing, placing it in sorted waste according to the recommendations given in the product parameters. The material of the bottle and the sprayer is marked with the appropriate recycling symbol, according to which you can place them in the correct container within your municipality’s waste sorting system. If the individual parts of the packaging are made of different materials, it is advisable to separate them before disposal (for example, separate the pump part from the bottle body) to facilitate subsequent recycling.

We recommend always verifying your packaging choice with a trial batch to ensure correct compatibility between the product and the packaging.
