Is this plastic bottle suitable for repeated use?

The bottle can be used repeatedly if basic hygiene principles are observed and the material is suitable for the specific formulation. Before each new filling, the packaging must be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected, ideally using isopropyl alcohol or ethanol (for example the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based). We then recommend allowing the bottle to dry completely before refilling it.

How should I correctly clean and disinfect this plastic bottle before refilling?

After emptying, we recommend rinsing the packaging with a suitable cleaning solution and with clean water. Then the bottle and the spray pump must be disinfected with an alcohol-based preparation, for example using IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96 %. Fill the inside of the packaging with alcohol, and if necessary also activate the spray pump so that the disinfectant reaches the entire mechanism. After disinfection, allow all parts to dry freely at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and heat sources.

Can I expose this plastic bottle to higher temperatures or wash it in a dishwasher?

The plastic packaging is not intended to be exposed to high temperatures. Contact with hot water, boiling or washing in a dishwasher may cause deformation of the bottle and the spray pump and deterioration of the seal. We recommend cleaning with lukewarm water and a gentle detergent, and disinfecting with alcohol at room temperature. Avoid direct contact with hot surfaces and prolonged exposure to intense sunlight, for example behind a car window.

How can I safely dispose of and recycle this packaging if I do not want to use it further?

If you decide not to reuse the bottle, we recommend recycling it according to the type of plastic specified in the product parameters. Before handing it over for separate collection, empty the packaging completely and, if necessary, rinse out any remaining contents. Then separate the bottle and the spray pump, if possible, and place them in the appropriate plastic container according to the local waste collection rules.
