FAQ – Frequently asked questions

Can this plastic pharmaceutical vial be reused?

Yes, the packaging can be reused if strict hygiene principles are observed. Before each new filling, the bottle must be thoroughly cleaned and then disinfected with a suitable alcohol-based preparation, for example isopropyl alcohol IPA 99 (/ipa-99-isopropyl-alkohol-1-l/) or 96% ethanol denatured of plant origin (/etanol-96-denaturovany-rastlinny-1-l/). Following this procedure helps to minimise the risk of microbial contamination and to maintain the quality of the filled cosmetic product or solution.

How should the bottle be properly cleaned and disinfected before the next filling?

Before further use, we recommend first rinsing the bottle with a suitable detergent and clean water, then allowing it to dry and only afterwards disinfecting it with an alcohol solution. It is practical to use IPA 99 or 96% ethanol denatured of plant origin (/ipa-99-isopropyl-alkohol-1-l/, /etanol-96-denaturovany-rastlinny-1-l/) and let them act briefly on the inner walls and on the thread. Then let the bottle air dry at room temperature. In the case of repeated use, it is important to check the condition of the closure and the seal as well.

Is this plastic packaging suitable for exposure to higher temperatures or washing in a dishwasher?

Plastic packaging of this type is not intended to be exposed to high temperatures such as boiling or long-term exposure to hot water. When the recommended temperature range is exceeded, there is a risk of deformation of the packaging, change in shape or impairment of the closure seal. For these reasons, the packaging is not suitable for washing in a dishwasher or for sterilisation by boiling. For hygienic preparation before filling, we recommend rinsing, gentle cleaning and disinfection with alcohol instead.

How can I dispose of or recycle this plastic packaging in an environmentally friendly way if I do not want to reuse it?

If you decide not to continue using the packaging, we recommend recycling it according to the type of material specified in the product parameters. After emptying, it is advisable to remove any remaining contents from the bottle, possibly rinse it, and then place it in the sorted collection of plastics in accordance with local waste management rules. For larger quantities of packaging, it is also possible to contact collection yards or specialised recycling services that can ensure efficient processing of plastic packaging.
