Plastic bottle – medicine-style bottle with aluminium cap represents a practical and aesthetic packaging for a wide range of liquid and powdered preparations. The clear plastic enables good visual control of the contents, giving you an overview of both the quantity and appearance of the product. In combination with a sealing aluminium closure, the packaging is suitable for filling cosmetic preparations, concentrated components and various auxiliary solutions where protection against leakage, contamination and external influences is important.
This type of packaging bottle is popular for smaller production runs as well as for artisan manufacturing thanks to its low weight, handling resistance and easy filling. Transparent plastic is suitable wherever it is necessary to visually present the colour or clarity of the preparation and to continuously monitor its consumption. The material made of PET type plastic offers good shape stability under normal use, but it is not intended to be exposed to higher temperatures or to thermal sterilisation.
Plastic bottles – medicine-style bottles of this type are compatible with various types of closures and dosing systems (for example screw caps, droppers, spray pumps or practical applicators), depending on the selected parameters. Combinations of packaging and closures that are created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend carrying out your own compatibility test – check the sealing, the dosing method and the behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation (especially with active ingredients, a high proportion of alcohol or oil-based concentrates).

Yes, the packaging can be reused under normal use, provided it is in good visual condition and undamaged. For repeated filling it is important to observe basic hygiene principles – before each new filling, thoroughly clean the bottle and the cap and then disinfect them. For disinfection we recommend using a suitable alcohol-based preparation, for example isopropyl alcohol or ethanol available in the Handymade range: IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96% denatured, plant-based. Only after the alcohol has completely dried and ventilated off is the packaging ready for further safe use.
The packaging is made of PET material, which is not intended to be exposed to high temperatures. It is not recommended to wash it in a dishwasher, boil it or heat it near sources of heat, because at excessive temperatures there is a risk of deformation of the bottle and deterioration of its functional properties (sealing, shape of the neck, etc.). For normal cleaning, hand washing with lukewarm water and a mild detergent is sufficient, or rinsing followed by disinfection with a suitable alcohol solution. After cleaning, allow the container and closure to dry thoroughly at room temperature away from direct sunlight.
If you decide not to reuse the packaging, it is recommended to recycle it according to the type of material stated in the product parameters. The PET plastic bottle body is normally sorted into the plastics container, and it is advisable to empty it before disposal and minimise any remaining product. The aluminium cap can, depending on the local collection system, be handed in either with metals or according to the recommendations of municipal services. It is always a good idea to follow local waste sorting rules and the information in the parameter table for the given product on Handymade so that recycling is as effective as possible.
The PET plastic bottle is particularly suitable for cosmetic and technical formulations that do not require high-temperature sterilisation or hot-fill packaging. It is suitable for aqueous and hydroalcoholic solutions, oil-based and emulsion preparations and slightly viscous serums. For formulations with a high proportion of solvents or very aggressive substances, we always recommend carrying out a compatibility test – a small test filling after which you observe any changes in the packaging material (softening, colour change, seepage or deformation) over several days to weeks.

For more precise targeting, we recommend filtering by neck type (so that the selected closures or dispensers fit), size, colour and packaging material. In this way, you will only display those bottles, jars or pots that meet the required parameters of your formulation, brand design and method of application.
When filling, it is advisable to use an appropriate funnel or filling system to avoid contaminating the neck and thread, which can affect the seal of the closure. Ideally, the product should be poured at room temperature, not directly after heating or warming the raw materials. After closing, store the bottle in a dry, cooler place away from direct sunlight and sources of heat to prevent unnecessary stress on the material. For transport, we recommend placing the packaging in an upright position and protecting it from strong compression or impacts, even though PET plastic is more resistant to mechanical damage than glass.
