The plastic bottle with trigger sprayer is a practical packaging intended for filling various liquid preparations, especially where uniform and comfortable dispersion of the contents is required. Thanks to the high-quality plastic material and functional spray mechanism, it is suitable for cosmetic, cleaning and craft formulations that require precise dosing in the form of a mist or spray. This type of packaging helps reduce product consumption, improves application comfort and supports hygienic use without direct hand contact with the contents.
This packaging is supplied in combination with a functional spray mechanism that is designed to work reliably with the specific bottle and ensure even application of the preparation. Combinations of packaging and closures created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend carrying out your own compatibility test (sealing, dosing and behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation), especially for more complex recipes, higher viscosity or the use of strongly aromatic or active substances.
All technical parameters of the packaging are given in the attached Packaging Quality Certificate and in the product parameters. When designing the formulation and selecting a suitable packaging, we recommend that you always carefully check and take these data into account in order to ensure optimal user comfort as well as long-term product stability.
The spray mechanism is most suitable for liquid preparations with lower viscosity, such as aqueous solutions, hydrolats, toners or light sprays. With thicker emulsions or heavier oil blends, atomization may deteriorate or the nozzle may clog. Before final filling, we always recommend carrying out a trial filling and testing the consistency and behaviour of the product during dosing.
The packaging can be reused if strict hygiene rules are followed. Before each new filling, the bottle and the sprayer must be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected in order to minimize the risk of microbial contamination and undesirable reactions between residues of the original product and the new formulation. For disinfection, we recommend using isopropyl alcohol or ethanol, for example the products IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96% denatured plant-based. After disinfection, allow all parts to dry completely before refilling them.
It is advisable to first rinse the bottle with lukewarm water, optionally with a mild, well-rinsable cleaning agent. We then recommend rinsing with clean water, allowing it to drain, and disinfecting both the surface and the interior of the packaging with a suitable alcohol-based preparation (for example, shaking a small amount and spraying it through the mechanism). After using the disinfectant, it is important to allow all parts of the packaging to dry completely at room temperature. The packaging is not intended to be washed in a dishwasher or boiled, as this could damage it or affect the sealing of the sprayer.
If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend first emptying it as much as possible and removing any product residues. Then separate the bottle and the sprayer into individual parts according to the material type specified in the product parameters and follow local waste sorting rules. Plastic parts can usually be placed in the appropriate plastic recycling container, provided the local collection system allows it. In the case of composite materials or specific components, it is advisable to consult the sorting method with your waste collection provider. By recycling correctly, you reduce the amount of waste and support more sustainable use of packaging materials.
To select suitable packaging, you can use the advanced filter, which you will find at the top of the page after clicking on a specific packaging category. The advanced filter enables clear sorting of products according to several parameters, especially neck type, size, colour and material. Thanks to this, you can tailor your selection precisely to the planned filling method, design and the nature of the formulation. For more advanced projects, it is advisable to combine filtering with checking detailed product parameters and testing compatibility with your formulation.
