The bottle with trigger sprayer is intended primarily for liquid, low-viscosity preparations that can be sprayed into a fine mist. Thick creams, balms or gel formulations generally cannot be correctly dosed using a mechanical sprayer, therefore for thicker textures we recommend using a suitable pump or jar according to the nature of the product.

The packaging can be reused if hygiene principles are followed, but we recommend reserving it for a similar type of product (for example always only aqueous or always only alcoholic solutions). Before each new filling, the bottle and the sprayer must be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected, ideally using isopropyl alcohol or ethanol, for example the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. This reduces the risk of microbial contamination as well as mutual influence of fragrance or colour between the individual fills.

Before repeated use, we recommend rinsing the bottle with a suitable residual solvent (for example distilled water or according to the nature of the original product), then mechanically cleaning it and rinsing it once again thoroughly. After rinsing, it is advisable to disinfect the inner surface and the spray mechanism with an alcohol solution – for example with preparations available on Handymade – IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. After disinfection, allow the packaging to dry thoroughly in a clean place so that no standing water or residues of the cleaning solution remain in it.

If you decide not to use the bottle any further, we recommend that after emptying and basic rinsing you place it in sorted waste according to the type of plastic specified in the parameter table for the product on the Handymade website. The bottle body and the sprayer may be made of different materials, therefore it is advisable to separate them and dispose of them in the appropriate container in accordance with local waste sorting rules. By recycling you reduce the amount of plastic waste and support the reuse of raw materials, therefore this method of disposal is always preferred over regular municipal waste.
