The plastic bottle with flip-top cap represents a practical and reliable packaging for liquid preparations, which facilitates dosing and everyday use. Thanks to its transparent design, you have a constant overview of the contents, which is advantageous for cosmetic formulations as well as for smaller product batches. The packaging is designed to be suitable for filling various liquid and slightly viscous products and to maintain their quality during storage and use.
The bottles are compatible with various types of closures and dosing systems (for example screw caps, droppers, sprayers or practical applicators) according to the selected parameters. The combinations of packaging and closures created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend performing your own compatibility test (sealing, dosing and behavior of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation), especially for unconventional or concentrated active substances.
All technical parameters of the packaging are specified in the attached Packaging Quality Certificate and in the product parameters. It is not appropriate to expose PET material to high temperatures – excessive heating may lead to deformation of the packaging and deterioration of the cap functionality. For this reason, the packaging is not suitable for dishwashing or boiling. Gentle manual cleaning at appropriate temperatures and the use of suitable disinfectants intended for cosmetic packaging are recommended.
The bottle can be used repeatedly if basic hygiene principles are observed and appropriate storage is ensured. Before each new filling, the packaging must be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected, ideally using isopropyl alcohol or ethanol intended for this purpose. For disinfection you can use, for example, the products IPA 99 % – isopropyl alkohol (/ipa-99-isopropyl-alkohol-1-l/){target="_blank"} or Etanol 96 % denaturovaný rastlinný (/etanol-96-denaturovany-rastlinny-1-l/){target="_blank"}. When cleaning, avoid high temperatures, since PET material is not suitable for boiling or dishwashing, in order to prevent its deformation and weakening of the packaging.
Before first use we recommend rinsing the bottle with a suitable cleaning solution, letting it dry and then disinfecting it. For disinfection, use alcohol-based solutions suitable for cosmetic packaging, for example IPA 99 % – isopropyl alkohol (/ipa-99-isopropyl-alkohol-1-l/){target="_blank"} or Etanol 96 % denaturovaný rastlinný (/etanol-96-denaturovany-rastlinny-1-l/){target="_blank"}. For PET packaging, cleaning with hot steam, boiling or dishwashers is not suitable in order to avoid deformation of the material. After disinfection, let the packaging dry thoroughly in a clean environment before filling.
When choosing a suitable packaging, we recommend using the advanced filter, which you can find at the top of the page after clicking on a specific packaging category. Using the filter, you can adjust the results according to several parameters – most often according to neck type, size, color and packaging material. In this way, you can quickly narrow down the selection to bottles and jars that will best match the composition, consistency and intended use of your product.
PET material is not intended for filling with hot or freshly cooked mixtures. Exposure to high temperatures can lead to deformation of the packaging, deterioration of the seal of the cap and an overall reduction in the functionality of the bottle. It is recommended to fill only when the product has room temperature or a slightly lower temperature. This approach is also important during regular cleaning – for PET packaging, avoid boiling, steam sterilization and dishwashing.
If you decide not to use the packaging further, it is recommended to recycle it in accordance with local waste management regulations. According to the information in the product parameters, the packaging is made of a plastic material suitable for sorting – after emptying and basic rinsing, place it in the appropriate container designated for that type of plastic. In the case of a combination of bottle and cap, it is ideal, if possible, to separate the individual parts in order to facilitate subsequent processing in the recycling process.
