FAQ – Most frequent questions

Is this plastic bottle suitable for thicker emulsions or oil blends?

The sprayer is optimised for liquid and low-viscosity preparations, for which it produces a fine mist. Thicker emulsions, gels or very heavy oil blends can reduce the smoothness of spraying and lead to clogging of the tube. In such a case, we recommend reducing the viscosity of the formulation or choosing another type of dosing (for example a pump or dropper) with a similar type of packaging.

Can I reuse this bottle for different products?

The packaging can be reused provided that basic hygiene principles are observed. Before each new filling, it is necessary to thoroughly clean the bottle, the inner tube and the sprayer, and then disinfect them with a suitable alcohol-based preparation, for example IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96 % denatured, plant-based. After rinsing and complete drying, you can safely refill the packaging with the same or a similar type of product.

How should I care for the bottle so that it lasts as long as possible?

To extend its service life, we recommend protecting the packaging from mechanical damage, long-term exposure to direct sunlight and aggressive cleaning agents. Wash the bottle by hand in lukewarm water with a mild detergent, without using abrasive sponges. After washing, allow all parts to dry thoroughly, only then apply disinfection and refill it again. In this way, the sprayer will maintain good functionality as well as the aesthetic appearance of the packaging.

How should I properly dispose of or recycle this packaging if I no longer want to use it?

If you decide not to reuse the bottle, we recommend completely emptying it and removing any residues of the contents before disposal. Adjust the method of recycling to the type of plastic material specified in the product parameters for this packaging on the Handymade website – according to the designation of the plastic class (recycling symbol), you will place the bottle in the appropriate type of sorted waste. The sprayer may consist of several plastic and metal parts, so unscrew it and dispose of it in accordance with local sorting rules.
