Is this glass jar also suitable for products containing essential oils?

The glass jar is also suitable for formulations with an appropriate proportion of essential oils, since glass is generally a stable and resistant packaging material. However, for higher concentrations of essential oils or active substances we recommend carrying out your own stability test to verify the behaviour of the specific formulation over time and to assess the suitability of the packaging for the given product.

Can I reuse the jar for further batches of cosmetics?

The jar can be reused if proper hygiene principles are observed. Before each new filling it is necessary to clean the packaging thoroughly, remove residues of the original product and then disinfect it with a suitable agent, for example isopropyl alcohol or ethanol. For disinfection you can use the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured plant‑based. Refill the jar only after the container and lid are completely dry, in order to minimize the risk of microbial contamination.

How should I correctly clean the glass jar before reusing it?

First mechanically remove product residues using a spatula or paper towel. Then wash the jar in warm water with a mild dishwashing detergent suitable for dishes and rinse thoroughly. After washing, allow the glass to dry completely. Before refilling, the packaging must be disinfected – we recommend using isopropyl alcohol or ethanol in spray form, for example IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured plant‑based. After applying the disinfectant, let the jar and lid dry completely so that no moisture remains in the packaging.

How can I dispose of or recycle this packaging in an environmentally friendly way if I no longer want to use it?

If you decide not to reuse the jar, we recommend recycling it responsibly according to the types of materials specified in the product parameters. After cleaning and removing any remaining contents, place the glass part of the jar in the container designated for glass. Sort the lid and any plastic or metal parts according to the material markings and local separate collection rules. Before handing the packaging over for separate waste collection, it is advisable to remove product residues to facilitate its further processing in the recycling process.
