However, before each new filling it is essential to clean the container thoroughly and then disinfect it in order to minimise the risk of microbial contamination. For disinfection we recommend using, for example, products such as IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96 % denatured, plant‑based. Only after it has completely dried is the jar ready for refilling.

How should the glass jar be properly cleaned before further use?

First, mechanically clean the jar from product residues (for example with a paper towel), then wash it in warm water with a suitable cleaning agent, rinse well and allow it to dry. After washing, we recommend disinfecting the container with an alcohol solution, for example using IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or 96 % plant‑based ethanol. Allow the disinfectant to act briefly and then let the jar dry completely again at room temperature.

How should the glass jar be properly disposed of or recycled if I no longer want to use it?

If you decide not to use the jar any longer, we recommend recycling it in accordance with local waste management rules and the information stated in the product parameters on Handymade.sk.
