The aluminium jar with lid is a practical and durable container for professional and hobby packaging of cosmetic preparations and other mixtures. Thanks to its solid construction and high-quality screw closure, it is suitable for packaging creams, butters, ointments, balms and loose or semi-solid products where protection of the contents from air, moisture and mechanical damage is important. The smooth inner surface makes filling, emptying and cleaning the jar easier and helps maintain the stability of the composition of sensitive formulations.
Combinations of packaging and closures created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend performing your own compatibility test (sealing, dosing and behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation).
All technical parameters of the packaging are listed in the attached Packaging Quality Certificate and in the product parameters.
Yes, the jar can be used repeatedly if hygiene rules are observed. Before each new filling, it is important to clean the packaging thoroughly and then disinfect it with a suitable agent, for example with isopropyl alcohol or with denatured plant-based ethanol. This reduces the risk of microbial contamination and undesirable influence on the stability of your product.
The aluminium jar is ideal for semi-solid and solid preparations that are applied in small amounts – creams, balms, butters, ointments, hair pomades or peelings with reduced water content. It is also suitable for storing dry blends such as powder masks or clays. For formulations with higher water content and active substances, we always recommend carrying out your own stability and compatibility test with the packaging.
After emptying the packaging, remove any product residues mechanically, then wash the jar with a suitable cleaning agent and rinse thoroughly. After complete drying, we recommend disinfecting the inner part and the lid with alcohol, for example with IPA 99 % or with 96 % denatured plant-based ethanol. Before filling, make sure that no moisture or residues of cleaning agents remain in the container so that the stability of the final product is not affected.
If you decide not to use the jar any further, we recommend, after emptying and basic cleaning, placing it in sorted collection according to the recommended type of recycling given in the product parameters. Aluminium packaging is usually sorted into the container designated for metal packaging. Before handing it over for recycling, it is advisable to remove as much product residue as possible to facilitate subsequent material processing.
To select a suitable bottle, jar or other packaging, we recommend using the extended filter at the top of the page after clicking on a specific packaging category. In the extended filter you can conveniently combine multiple parameters – for example the type and size of the neck, the overall size of the packaging, colour and material. Thanks to this, you will quickly find packaging that best matches your formulation, method of application and the visual style of your brand.
