This practical jar is designed as a reliable container for creamy, gel, firmer and loose cosmetic formats. High-quality glass contributes to the stability of the composition and minimizes interactions between the contents and the wall of the packaging, which is important for products with a higher content of active or aromatic components.
This jar is supplied as a combination of a glass container and lid created directly at Handymade, thanks to which the requirements for functional closing and comfortable use are taken into account. Combinations of packaging and closures that are created directly at Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we recommend always carrying out your own compatibility test (sealing, dosing and behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation).

Yes, the jar can be used repeatedly if hygiene principles are observed. Before each new filling, the packaging must be thoroughly cleaned and then disinfected, ideally using alcohol-based products such as isopropyl alcohol or ethanol. For disinfection, you can use the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alkohol and Etanol 96 % denaturovaný rastlinný, which you can find in the Handymade range. This will reduce the risk of microbial contamination and ensure long-term quality of the final product.
It is recommended to first mechanically clean away product residues with warm water and a suitable cleaning agent that does not leave a film on the surface. After thoroughly rinsing, allow the glass to dry and then apply an alcohol-based disinfectant. In the Handymade assortment, the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alkohol (/ipa-99-isopropyl-alkohol-1-l/){:target="_blank"} and Etanol 96 % denaturovaný rastlinný (/etanol-96-denaturovany-rastlinny-1-l/){:target="_blank"} are intended for this purpose. Apply the disinfectant to both the inner and outer surfaces, allow it to act and dry at room temperature.
If you decide not to use the packaging further, we recommend including it in the separate collection system according to the material composition given in the product parameters. The glass part can usually be placed, after cleaning off product residues, in the container designated for glass. The lid must be sorted according to the material used, in accordance with the recommendations in the parameter table for the product, or handed over at a collection yard. By following these recommendations, you support proper recycling and reduce the amount of waste.
The jar is particularly suitable for thicker and semi-solid cosmetic products such as facial and body creams, butters, balms, ointments, scrubs or clay masks. Thanks to the durable glass and dark design, it is also suitable for formulas containing oils and aromatic substances, where light protection and composition stability are important. In smaller batches it also proves useful as a container for samples or travel sizes.
