Product description

Essences obtained by CO2 extraction are some of the purest essences with a higher proportion of individual chemical components than those found in essential oils obtained by steam distillation, as they do not contain residual solvents, inorganic salts, heavy metals or bacteria capable of reproduction. Their use is the same as for essential oils, but in a much smaller proportion, as CO2 extract is stronger, of higher quality and has a significantly longer shelf life. In fact, the plant extracts do not undergo thermal degradation in this extraction process, as is the case in the steam distillation process.

Depending on the pressure, CO2 extraction makes it possible to create two types of extracts, the so-called Selects and Totals.

Our CO2 extracts are total extracts from the plant (obtained by high pressure extraction), thus containing all CO2 soluble components, including waxes, resins, dyes. They are therefore very similar to the plant itself, usually thick and pasty just due to the waxes, fats and resins contained, which come from the plant material itself.

Consumption: 7-10 kg of sea buckthorn berries(Hippophae rhamnoides) per 1 kg of CO2 extract

Ingredients:
99.9% Sea buckthorn berry CO2-to extract (BIO quality)
0.1% Rosemary CO2 antioxidant (BIO quality)

Fatty oil with 20-30% palmitic acid (C16:0), 28-38% palmitoleic acid (C16:1 w7), 10-20% oleic acid (C18:1 w9), >6% vaccinic acid (C18:1 w7), linoleic acid (C18:2 w6), alpha-linolenic acid (C18:3 w3) and unsaponifiable constituents such as carotenoids, alkanols, tocopherols, sterols.

Uses:

THE EXTRACT MUST BE HEATED TO 40°C AND SHAKEN BEFORE USE!

Sea buckthorn extract contains the rarely found palmitoleic acid, which is also a component of skin fat and stimulates regenerative processes in the epidermis and promotes wound healing. Therefore, sea buckthorn extract can help in skin regeneration and minimizing scars. Other unsaturated fatty acids contained in the extract help to increase skin moisture. In addition, sea buckthorn extract has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects. The extract is therefore particularly suitable for use in the fight against skin aging and also for dry and chapped skin. Sea buckthorn can also be used in sunscreens and after-sun products. In addition, sea buckthorn oil strengthens hair, so it is also used in shampoos, conditioners and other hair products that aim to restore damaged hair.

All raw materials supplied are of cosmetic quality, not suitable for internal use.
