Yes, the packaging can be used repeatedly if hygiene principles are observed. Before each new filling, it is necessary to clean the bottle thoroughly and then disinfect it with a suitable product, for example isopropyl alcohol IPA 99 % or plant-based ethanol Ethanol 96 % denatured. Carry out disinfection at room temperature and do not expose the packaging to high temperatures in order to prevent its deformation.
We recommend rinsing the bottle with lukewarm water and a mild detergent, rinsing thoroughly and allowing it to dry completely. Afterwards, it is advisable to disinfect the inner surface with an alcoholic solution (for example the products ALK001 or ALK002 offered by Handymade) and again allow it to air out. Do not wash the PET packaging in a dishwasher, do not boil it and do not expose it to high temperatures, in order to avoid damage to the material and changes to the shape of the bottle.
If you decide not to use the packaging any further, we recommend recycling it according to the material type specified in the product parameters. Plastic bottles made of PET are typically sorted into the yellow container for plastics; it is advisable to empty them and, if necessary, lightly rinse them before disposal. Sort the disc-top closure according to the information on the closure material in the product detail – it may be made from a different type of plastic than the bottle body. By following the recommended recycling rules, you support responsible handling of packaging material.
The disc-top closure is ideal for liquid and semi-liquid products that are dispensed in smaller quantities – for example shampoos, shower gels, body milks, facial toners, cleansing waters or lighter oil blends. It allows convenient one-handed opening and closing and helps to better control the amount of product dispensed. For very viscous or, conversely, highly fluid formulations, we recommend performing your own dosing test to verify that it meets your requirements.
