Can this plastic bottle be reused?

Yes, the container can be reused for home and semi-professional use, provided it is in good technical condition and has not been mechanically damaged. When reusing, it is essential to follow basic hygiene principles – before each new filling, clean the bottle thoroughly and then disinfect it with a suitable alcohol-based preparation, for example with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol of plant origin. Only after it has completely dried is the bottle ready to be refilled.

How should I properly clean and disinfect the bottle before refilling it?

First remove all residues of the original product by mechanically rinsing with warm water and a suitable mild detergent. Then rinse the bottle thoroughly with clean water so that no detergent residues remain. After the inner surface has dried, disinfect the container with alcohol, for example using IPA 99 % or 96 % ethanol. Allow the disinfectant solution to act briefly, pour out any excess and let the container air out and dry thoroughly at room temperature.

Is this plastic container suitable for the dishwasher or for boiling?

The plastic material of this bottle is not designed to be exposed to high temperatures. When subjected to hot water, hot steam or boiling, there is a risk of deformation of the container and deterioration of its mechanical properties. For this reason, the bottle is not suitable for cleaning in a dishwasher or for sterilisation by boiling. Cleaning with lukewarm to slightly warm water and disinfection with alcohol at room temperature is recommended.
