The packaging can be reused under normal conditions of use, provided that hygiene is strictly observed and no visible wear of the material or the cap occurs. Before each new filling, the bottle and the disc-top cap must be carefully cleaned mechanically and subsequently disinfected with a suitable alcohol-based product, for example with isopropyl alcohol or with 96% plant-derived denatured ethanol. After disinfection, it is important to allow the packaging to dry thoroughly in order to minimise the risk of microbial contamination of the next batch of product.

For routine cleaning we recommend using lukewarm water and a mild detergent, and it is advisable to rinse the packaging and the cap several times so that no residues of the original product remain. After mechanical cleaning it is appropriate to carry out disinfection with alcohol (for example using products available on Handymade) and then leave the bottle completely open to dry. Avoid using aggressive solvents that are not intended for contact with the given type of plastic so as not to weaken the material or damage the seal in the cap.

If you decide not to reuse the packaging, its environmentally responsible disposal is recommended, according to the material specified in the product parameters. Before disposal, it is advisable to empty the bottle as much as possible and, if necessary, rinse out any remaining contents. Afterwards, according to the relevant recycling symbol, you can sort the packaging into the container intended for plastic packaging, in accordance with local waste separation rules. The cap and the body of the container may be made from different plastics, so follow the information in the parameters and, if necessary, separate them before placing them in sorted waste.

The disc-top cap is ideal for liquid and slightly viscous formulations that need to be dispensed in small amounts directly into the palm, onto a cotton pad or onto an application tool. Typically these include facial and body waters/lotions, mild cleansing products, hair tonics or hand care products. For thicker emulsions or gels, a combination of the bottle with a pump or another type of dispenser may be more suitable, so we always recommend testing the behaviour of the specific product in the chosen packaging in advance.

The lightweight plastic material and compact design make this bottle a practical solution for travelling as well. The disc-top cap enables closing in such a way that under normal handling the contents do not leak out spontaneously. However, we recommend always closing the bottle carefully, checking the seal when filling it for the first time and, during transport, placing it for safety in a separate resealable bag or case, especially if you are carrying active or strongly coloured formulations.
