FAQ – Most frequently asked questions

Is it possible to use this plastic bottle repeatedly?

The bottle can be used repeatedly provided that you observe basic hygiene rules and the packaging is not mechanically damaged. Before each new filling, the packaging must be thoroughly cleaned and then disinfected with a suitable product, for example isopropyl alcohol or ethanol. For disinfection you can use the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured plant‑based. After cleaning, allow the packaging to dry completely and only then refill it.

How should the plastic bottle be properly cleaned before new filling?

First, rinse the bottle thoroughly with warm water and a mild cleaning agent to remove residues of the original product. Then rinse the packaging with clean water so that no detergent residues remain. After basic washing, we recommend using an alcohol‑based disinfectant – for example isopropyl alcohol or ethanol from the Handymade range – and leaving the bottle to dry freely at room temperature. With plastic packaging, avoid exposure to very high temperatures to prevent deformation of the material.

Is this bottle also suitable for thicker products such as gels or emulsions?

The bottle with flip top closure is intended primarily for liquid and slightly viscous preparations that flow easily through the opening in the closure. Thicker gels or emulsions can be used in this container if the consistency allows smooth squeezing out or pouring without excessive pressure. For very thick products, it may be more practical to choose a dosing pump or another type of packaging designed for highly viscous formulations.

How should I correctly dispose of and recycle this packaging if I do not plan to use it further?

After emptying, remove as much of the remaining contents from the bottle as possible, and if necessary rinse it to minimise the amount of residual product. Then place the packaging in the appropriate sorted waste according to the type of plastic specified for the product.
