The transparent round plastic bottle with flip-top closure is a universal container suitable for hygienic and aesthetic packaging of both liquid and gel cosmetic preparations. Thanks to the practical flip-top closure system, it enables convenient, controlled dispensing and at the same time protects the contents from contamination during use and storage.
The transparent body of the bottle allows for easy visual control of the remaining amount of product, which you will appreciate both when making cosmetics at home and for smaller artisan batches. The high-quality plastic material ensures that the bottle retains its shape under normal conditions of use, provides easy handling and gives the finished product a professional appearance.
This individual bottle is designed to be compatible with various types of closures and dispensing systems available in the range according to the selected parameters – for example with screw caps, droppers, spray heads or practical applicators. The combinations of containers and closures that are created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend performing your own compatibility test (sealing, dispensing and the behaviour of the container in contact with the particular formulation), so that you can be sure of the long-term stability of your product.
All technical parameters of the packaging are listed in the attached Packaging Quality Certificate and in the product parameters. Before introducing it into production, we recommend testing the packaging with your specific formula under the conditions in which the product will actually be stored and used.
The container is made of PET-type plastic, so it is important to follow the specifics of this material: PET material should not be exposed to high temperatures; in the case of excessive thermal load there is a risk of deformation of the packaging, and it is not suitable for washing in a dishwasher or for boiling.
The bottle can be reused if hygiene rules are observed. However, before each refilling it is necessary to thoroughly clean the container and then disinfect it, ideally using a suitable alcohol, for example isopropyl alcohol or ethanol. For this purpose you can use the products IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96% denatured plant-based. After thorough drying, the bottle is ready to be refilled with a suitable preparation. At the same time, it is important not to exceed normal temperature limits, since PET is not suitable for exposure to high temperatures, for boiling or for washing in a dishwasher.
If you decide not to reuse the bottle, we recommend that, after emptying and basic rinsing, you place it in sorted waste according to the material designation given in the product parameters and on the packaging itself. As it is PET plastic, it is appropriate to throw the bottle and the closure into the container designated for plastics. Before placing it in sorted waste, it is ideal to remove any product residues, labels and any attachments so that the material can be efficiently recycled. Avoid burning it under household conditions and do not put the packaging in mixed municipal waste if sorted plastic collection is available in your area.
This PET bottle is not intended to be filled with hot or freshly cooked preparations. Elevated temperatures may lead to undesirable softening or deformation of the packaging and to deterioration of its mechanical stability. It is recommended to fill only completely cooled or room-temperature-tempered products. Likewise, use in a dishwasher or microwave oven, or sterilisation by boiling, is not recommended; for hygiene of the container, choose thorough washing, rinsing and disinfection with a suitable alcohol instead.
The tightness and reliability of the closure always depend on the specific formulation, viscosity and method of use of the product. We recommend performing your own test: fill a small amount of preparation, close carefully, then turn the bottle upside down several times, leave it briefly in a horizontal position and check whether any leakage occurs. For very low-viscosity or, on the contrary, very thick products, it is advisable to test the comfort of dispensing as well and, if necessary, choose another type of closure or dispensing system from the Handymade range. For long-term storage, also monitor the behaviour of the closure in response to changes in temperature and during transport.
