The glass bottle with a glossy surface is a universal container suitable for professional and artisan packaging of various liquid and semi-solid formulations. High-quality glass provides firm and stable protection of the contents and, in combination with a suitable closure, creates a reliable primary container for cosmetic products, extracts or concentrated blends. The opaque design helps to reduce light exposure to sensitive components, which supports the stability and longer shelf life of the product when stored correctly.
Glass bottles are compatible with various types of closures and dispensing systems (for example screw caps, droppers, spray pumps or practical applicators) according to the selected parameters. Combinations of containers and closures created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend performing your own compatibility test (sealing, dosing and behaviour of the container in contact with the specific formulation).
All technical parameters of the packaging are specified in the attached Packaging Quality Certificate and in the product parameters.
Before the first filling, we recommend thoroughly rinsing the bottle with a suitable cleaning agent, rinsing it with clean water and then disinfecting it. Alcohol-based products, such as isopropyl alcohol or ethanol, are suitable for disinfection. In our range you will find the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alkohol and Etanol 96 % denaturovaný rastlinný, which are intended for cleaning packaging surfaces before filling. After disinfection, allow the medicine bottle to dry completely at room temperature.
Yes, the glass container can be reused provided that correct hygiene principles are followed. With every new filling, it is important to wash the bottle thoroughly, check its integrity and then disinfect it, for example using the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alkohol or Etanol 96 % denaturovaný rastlinný. Repeated use is not recommended if the glass is damaged, cracked or visibly worn, or if the container is part of a product intended for sale with a specific expiry date.
If you decide not to use the container further, it is appropriate to recycle it according to local waste management rules. Glass packaging is typically placed in containers designated for glass. Before handing it over to separate collection, it is practical to at least roughly empty the bottle and remove any product residues. Closures and dispensing components made of other materials must be sorted separately according to the material indication in the product parameters (for example plastic or metal) in order to ensure correct recovery of the packaging in the recycling process.
Glass bottles are generally very suitable for packaging formulations with a higher concentration of active substances, essential oils or aromatic components, because glass is a stable and low-reactive material. However, we recommend always testing the specific formula in the selected container – observe the behaviour of the product in contact with the glass and the closure used, as well as any changes in fragrance, colour or viscosity over time. For highly concentrated compositions, it is also important to choose an appropriate type of dropper, spray pump or closure.
To choose a suitable bottle or other container, we recommend using the advanced filter in the packaging categories. You will find it at the top of the page after clicking on a specific category (for example bottles, medicine bottles, jars). In the advanced filter, you can clearly sort the containers according to several parameters – most commonly by the type and diameter of the neck, the required size, colour and material. This allows you to easily narrow down the selection to containers that are suitable for your specific product and dispensing method.
