Before the first filling, we recommend mechanically cleaning the bottle and the dropper, rinsing thoroughly and then disinfecting them with a suitable alcoholic solution. For this purpose you can use, for example, isopropyl alcohol IPA 99 % or plant-based ethanol Ethanol 96 % denatured. After disinfection, allow all parts to dry completely at room temperature and only then fill the packaging with the prepared product.

The bottle can be reused if hygienic principles are observed. Before each new filling, the packaging must be cleaned thoroughly, the glass parts rinsed and the complete set, including the dropper, disinfected with an alcoholic solution, for example using the products IPA 99 % or Ethanol 96 % denatured. We recommend avoiding contact of the dropper with the skin or impurities in order to minimise the risk of contamination of the contents. In the case of significant wear of rubber or plastic parts, consider replacing them.

Always keep the filled bottle well closed, in a dry place, at a stable room temperature and away from direct sunlight or sources of heat. The dark glass helps protect the contents from light; nevertheless, it is appropriate to store products in a cupboard or drawer. For formulations with a higher content of volatile substances (for example essential oils or alcohol), regularly check the tightness of the dropper and do not exceed the recommended period of use of your product.

If you decide not to reuse the packaging, it is appropriate to recycle it responsibly in accordance with local waste-sorting rules and the information given in the product parameters. The glass part of the bottle can generally, after basic rinsing, be placed in the container intended for glass. The dropper, consisting of a combination of plastic, rubber and possibly metal, should be disposed of according to the material type recommended in the parameter table for the product on the Handymade website – the individual components should be separated and sorted according to local waste collection rules. Before discarding, it is recommended to remove product residues from the packaging.
