The opaque dark glass and precise dispenser make this bottle a suitable solution for oil serums and products with sensitive active ingredients. The dark glass helps limit light penetration to the contents and the dispenser minimizes the product’s contact with air, which supports the stability and longer shelf life of the formulation. For specific or very sensitive active ingredients, however, we recommend carrying out your own stability test.

The bottle can be reused provided that hygiene principles are observed. Before each new filling, it is important to thoroughly clean and disinfect the packaging so as to avoid microbial contamination or any influence on the new formulation by residues of the original product. For disinfection you can use a suitable alcohol-based preparation, for example isopropyl alcohol or ethanol from the Handymade range – you will find them as IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol and Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. When changing the type of product (for example from an oil-based to a water-based formulation) we recommend particularly thorough cleaning and a compatibility test.

If you decide not to reuse the bottle, we recommend recycling it responsibly according to the material specified in the product parameters. The glass container can usually be placed, after cleaning, into the appropriate glass recycling bin. The dispenser and plastic parts should be separated and dealt with according to local waste sorting rules (most often plastic collection). Before recycling, remove as much product residue as possible so as not to disrupt the waste processing procedure. Always follow the current recommendations of your recycling centre or local waste sorting system.

When filling, we recommend working in the cleanest environment possible, using suitable tools (funnel, dosing syringe) and ensuring that the contents do not get onto the thread or the outer side of the dispenser – this will improve sealing and the aesthetics of the packaging. Do not overfill the bottle so that the dispenser has enough space to function correctly. When storing, protect the packaging from direct sunlight, extreme temperatures and humidity. Before placing the finished product on the market, we recommend testing long-term storage and the behaviour of the dispenser with the specific formulation.
