In combination with a practical child-resistant cap, it offers safe and reliable packaging for liquid products intended for precise, controlled dosing.
Yes, the glass bottle is suitable for a wide spectrum of oil-based and water-based cosmetic formulations, such as serums, toners, essences or treatment oils. However, we always recommend carrying out a trial filling and monitoring the behaviour of the product over time (colour, scent, stability) to verify full compatibility of the specific formulation with this type of packaging and closure.
The bottle can be reused if hygiene principles are followed. Before each new filling, the packaging must be thoroughly cleaned, any residues of the previous product removed, and then disinfected with a suitable alcohol (for example isopropyl alcohol or ethanol). For disinfection you can use products available on Handymade, for example IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured, plant-based. After disinfection, allow the bottle and cap to dry completely before refilling.
Before first use, we recommend rinsing the bottle with a suitable washing agent, then thoroughly rinsing it with clean water and subsequently disinfecting it with alcohol, for example using IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96 % denatured, of plant origin. After disinfection, the bottle and cap must be allowed to dry completely in a clean place to prevent dilution or contamination of the product by water residues.
If you decide not to use the bottle further, we recommend first emptying it and removing any product residues (ideally by wiping or rinsing). Then place the glass part in a container designated for sorted glass collection according to local regulations. The cap and any plastic components should be sorted according to the material type specified in the product parameters. By sorting correctly, you enable recycling of the materials and reduce the amount of waste.
