Glass bottle – dropper bottle is a professional packaging suitable for precise dosing of liquid and powder preparations in cosmetics and home-made formulations. Thanks to high-quality glass, the contents are protected from external influences and the packaging is characterized by high shape stability during long-term storage. It represents a reliable choice for small and medium-sized production batches, as well as for artisanal and home production.
Glass dropper bottles are compatible with various types of closures and dosing systems (for example screw caps, droppers, spray pumps or practical applicators) according to the parameters selected for the product. Combinations of packaging and closures created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend carrying out your own compatibility test – to verify sealing, dosing and the behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation during storage and use.
All technical parameters of the packaging are listed in the enclosed Packaging Quality Certificate and in the product parameters.
The glass packaging can be reused if hygiene principles are observed. Before each new filling, it is necessary to clean the bottle thoroughly, check the integrity of the neck and thread, and then disinfect it with a suitable alcohol-based product (for example isopropyl alcohol or plant-based ethanol). Allow the disinfectant solution to act, then let the packaging dry completely at room temperature and only then fill it with the final formulation.
The glass dropper bottle is suitable for most liquid and low-viscosity preparations, such as serums, oils, tinctures, active solutions, emulsion toners or aqueous extracts. In practice, it is used wherever precise and controlled dosing is required – especially for concentrated blends or test batches. For special formulations with unconventional solvents, we always recommend performing your own stability test in the selected type of packaging.
Before first filling, we recommend rinsing the bottle with a suitable cleaning agent, rinsing thoroughly with potable water and then disinfecting the packaging with an alcohol solution (for example IPA 99% or ethanol 96% denatured). After disinfection, allow the dropper bottle to drain and finish drying in a clean environment so that moisture does not accumulate inside, which could affect the stability of the formulation.
If you decide not to reuse the packaging, it is appropriate to hand it over for recycling. First empty the glass bottle, wipe or rinse off any product residues and then sort it according to the recommendations given in the parameter table at the product on the Handymade website. Glass is normally placed in the container designated for glass waste, while plastic closures and dispensers need to be sorted separately according to their material.
The simplest way to choose is to use the advanced filter within the packaging category. After clicking on the relevant category, the filter is located in the upper part of the page and allows you to narrow down the selection according to several criteria – for example by neck type, packaging size, colour or material. This way you will quickly find a suitable bottle, dropper bottle or jar for the specific formulation and dosing system.
