Glass bottle – medicine bottle represents a professional packaging solution suitable for filling various liquid preparations, serums and other specialized formulations. Thanks to the high-quality glass and compatibility with several types of closures, it is ideal for manufacturers of natural cosmetics, artisanal products as well as for laboratory use. The dark glass also helps protect sensitive components from undesirable light exposure and supports the long-term stability of the contents.
Glass is generally a very stable and inert packaging material, which is also suitable for formulations containing alcohol or essential oils. During production, however, we recommend always carrying out your own compatibility test – verifying the behaviour of the specific formula in the filled bottle and checking the sealing of the selected closure or dropper during storage.
The glass medicine bottle can be reused provided that hygiene principles are followed. Before each new filling, the packaging must be thoroughly cleaned and then disinfected with a suitable agent, for example isopropyl alcohol or ethanol. For this purpose, you can use the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. Disinfection helps minimize the risk of microbial contamination and ensures the safety of the final product.
Before reuse, we recommend first thoroughly rinsing the packaging of residues with a suitable cleaning agent or warm water with detergent, then rinsing well with clean water and leaving it to dry. After drying, it is advisable to disinfect the inner space and the thread using alcohol (for example IPA 99 % or plant-based ethanol 96 %) and let it evaporate. Only then is the bottle ready for new filling.
If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend recycling it according to the material type specified in the product parameters. The glass bottle is usually placed in the container for glass after emptying and basic rinsing. Plastic or metal closures, any pumps or spray heads are sorted separately according to their material composition. By following the recommended sorting in the product parameters, you support efficient recycling and waste reduction.
