The packaging can be reused provided that basic hygiene rules are followed. Before each new filling, the bottle must be mechanically cleaned and then thoroughly disinfected with a suitable disinfectant, for example isopropyl alcohol or ethanol. For disinfection, you can use the products IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96% denatured vegetal. Only after the alcohol has completely evaporated and the inner surface of the packaging has dried is the bottle ready for refilling.

To verify compatibility, we recommend filling a smaller test amount of the product into one bottle with the selected closure and observing it for several days to weeks under normal storage conditions. Check in particular the tightness of the closure (whether there is any leakage), the condition of the seal, any changes in the colour or consistency of the product and whether there is any plastic odour or altered dosing. For formulations with a higher content of alcohol or essential oils, a longer stability test is particularly important.

If you decide not to use the packaging further, we recommend placing it in separate waste collection according to the material specified in the product parameters. As a rule, the glass bottle can be placed in a container intended for glass after being emptied and basically rinsed. The closure (if made of plastic or metal) should be separated and sorted according to local rules for plastic or metal collection. Before recycling, remove any product residues so as not to contaminate other sorted waste.
